Insoles

Orthotic devices can be used in the form of insoles to resolve a musculoskeletal condition. Rarely one insole suits every activity or style of shoe but we can talk you through the options available and the pros and cons to each design. The LEWis BRAND Orthotics team also has a wealth of knowledge on high street and specialist shoe brands for a wide range of different activities and sporting interests and they can share that knowledge with you to get an optimal result for pain relief and activity level.

Ankle Braces

Ankle stability problems can be treated using both ready-made and custom-made ankle brace solutions. The benefits of each brace will be explained to the client so that they are able to make an informed decision over which will best meet their needs. The team at LEWis BRAND Orthotics can take the difficult decision out of the process and guide you towards the most clinically appropriate device to help achieve your goals.

Knee Bracing

Osteoarthritis of the knee can be a very disabling condition leading to significant pain and having a big impact on activity level. We can discuss a variety of designs for a brace or alternative orthotic solution to find the way forward for the individual.

Knee ligament injuries and knee stability problems can be effectively treated through knee bracing techniques. If you are a keen sports person, like winter sports activities or just want to take the dog for a walk with more confidence in your knee then the team at LEWis BRAND Orthotics can tailor the brace and treatment to your goals and activity level.

Therapeutic Footwear

Having a complex foot shape and associated pain or lack of sensation can be very daunting and disabling for clients.  LEWis BRAND can support individuals with advice on which high street footwear options are more clinically appropriate. However, if a more specialist footwear option is required then they are able provide clients with options for the most clinically suitable designs. This allows clients to feel more comfortable and confident, by achieving their own personal treatment goals.  LEWis BRAND has adopted the latest technology in 3D scanning to help capture a client’s foot shape which allows for an optimal and customised shoe fit.

Ankle foot orthosis (AFO’s)

Various clinical conditions can lead to problems with walking.  The team at LEWis BRAND Orthotics will work with clients to establish treatment goals from the outset, once these have been established and a clinical assessment has been completed we will discuss the best options available to help clients reach their desired goals whether this is reducing fatigue, improving activity level, or managing spasticity in the muscles. (Spasticity is an abnormal increase in muscle tone or stiffness in the muscle because of damage to the nerve pathways within the brain or spinal cord that controls muscle movements).  An extensive range of custom and ready-made AFOs are available and each design has a unique range of qualities and disadvantages so LEWis BRAND Orthotics will assist all clients in finding the best products to meet their needs and desired goals.
