Our focus is on treating individuals rather than just the diagnosis, utilising easily understandable terminology and adopting a caring, holistic, and client-centered approach.  We realise that clients may have different hobbies or interests that they want to be able to return to and we are focused on enabling activity wherever possible.

LEWis BRAND Orthotics uses new technology and research findings, wherever possible to enhance client outcomes. They strive to provide a friendly and honest care package while also prioritising environmental friendliness.

The clinical specialist orthotist for LEWis BRAND Orthotics is Laura, who completed her studies at the National Centre for Training and Education in Prosthetics and Orthotics at Strathclyde University in Glasgow, graduating in 2010.

Initially, Laura began her professional career as a dual practising clinician at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. However, after two years, she discovered her true passion lay in the field of orthotics. Consequently, choosing to specialise in the treatment of paediatric and neurological patients.

She has established many specialist multidisciplinary clinics across East Anglia, the South coast and London in her clinical career to date.  Laura understands the benefits of close working with a wide range of other health professionals to achieve optimal client results.

Laura likes to keep fit by attending regular Pilates classes, walking the family Clumber Spaniel for miles across Bredon Hill and running around after her two young boys that certainly keep her busy and active.

Laura has a keen interest in all things footwear and has undertaken studies and training with lecturers from the Cordwainers College, London to further her knowledge and skills around the manufacture and construction of footwear.

This additional understanding of footwear has given Laura a clinical advantage in her professional career equipping her with the skills to achieve better outcomes for clients.

She is delighted to have been able to use these artisan skills regularly and even designed and made her own wedding shoes in 2017.
