Our Orthotic Services

Empowering Steps. Transforming Futures.

At LEWis BRAND Orthotics, we believe that orthotic care is about more than just products — it’s about improving comfort, mobility, and confidence in everyday life.

Orthotics focuses on the assessment, design, and provision of custom-made or specialist supports to improve the way the body moves.
From the soles of the feet to the tips of the fingers, orthoses can help relieve pain, restore alignment, prevent further deterioration, and support independence.

We provide a full range of bespoke and off-the-shelf orthotic solutions, working closely with each client to find the most effective and practical treatment for their needs.

Insoles & Foot Orthotics

Our custom insole assessments aim to find the root cause of foot, leg, or lower back pain — not just treat the symptoms.
We combine biomechanical analysis, gait assessment, and motion technology to design bespoke insoles that optimise alignment, reduce strain, and restore comfort.

Ankle Foot Orthosis (AFOs)

AFOs provide support and control around the ankle and foot to improve alignment, reduce fatigue, and enhance stability.
These can be custom-made or pre-fabricated, using materials such as thermoplastic, carbon fibre, or 3D-printed designs, depending on your needs and goals.

They are commonly used for conditions including foot drop, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, and stroke recovery.

Knee Bracing

We provide a wide range of knee braces designed to support alignment, stability, and pain relief — from osteoarthritis offloading braces to ligament stability braces following injury or surgery.

During your assessment, you can trial multiple samples to find the most comfortable and effective fit for your needs, whether your goal is to reduce pain, improve function, find a product to improve confidence and stability, or return to sport.

Stance-control-KAFO

Knee Ankle Foot Orthosis (KAFOs)

For clients needing support from the foot to the thigh, KAFOs provide full-leg alignment and stability.
These are often prescribed for conditions such as Polio, MS, cerebral palsy, or severe knee hyperextension, and can be built using metal, thermoplastic, or carbon fibre materials.

Advanced stance control KAFOs allow for a more natural walking pattern, engaging and releasing with each step to improve movement efficiency.

Paediatric Orthotic Care

Our paediatric service focuses on providing children and families with supportive, clear, and practical orthotic care.
We understand how quickly children grow and how important comfort and confidence are in their development.

From gait issues and neurological conditions to custom footwear and braces, we tailor every treatment plan to each child’s needs and family goals — ensuring they can participate fully in everyday activities.

Upper Limb & Spinal Orthotics

We also provide upper limb orthoses to support the wrist, elbow, or shoulder, improving function and alignment in conditions such as stroke recovery, nerve injury, or arthritis.

For the spine, we offer custom solutions for postural support and osteoporosis-related instability — helping to manage discomfort and improve safety.

The only area of orthotic care we do not currently provide is scoliosis back bracing.
