We work with trusted manufacturers known for high-quality materials and proven clinical performance.
Conditions We Commonly Support
Foot drop can develop from a range of neurological or musculoskeletal conditions. We regularly work with clients living with:
Stroke
Damage to brain pathways can weaken or paralyse the muscles that lift the foot, causing the toes to drag during walking. An orthosis can restore safer, more efficient movement and reduce fall risk.
Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
MS can disrupt nerve signals to the muscles, leading to fatigue, weakness, or loss of control. A supportive device helps maintain balance and energy efficiency during walking.
Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease (CMT)
This hereditary nerve condition can cause muscle wasting and weakness in the lower legs and feet. Orthotic intervention helps improve stability, reduce tripping, and support long-term mobility.
Hereditary Spastic Paraparesis (HSP)
HSP often results in stiffness and weakness in the legs, making walking difficult. Custom orthoses can help improve gait pattern and reduce effort when moving.
Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
Injury to the brain can affect muscle coordination and timing, leading to drop foot and imbalance. Orthotic support helps retrain walking and increase independence.
Spinal Cord Injury
Depending on the level and severity of injury, nerve disruption can cause weakness or paralysis in the lower limbs. Orthoses can help restore alignment and assist functional mobility where possible.

Our assessment package is designed to deliver thorough, client-centred care from start to finish.
90-Minute In-Depth Assessment
We take time to understand you — not just your symptoms. During your appointment, we will:

Turtle Brace – A Flexible Alternative to Serial Casting
The Turtle Brace range offers an innovative and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional serial casting.
These braces can be heat-adjusted up to 300 times, allowing for gradual, precise changes as treatment progresses — without the waste and rigidity of plaster casts.
This versatile product can be used as:
-
A therapy tool to gently stretch tight calf muscles
-
A night resting splint for maintaining position and alignment
-
A low-profile, removable option that allows participation in physiotherapy or exercise programmes between wear periods
Because the brace can be removed and reapplied, it supports both intensive stretching programmes and active rehabilitation — offering the best of both worlds.
The Turtle Brace is also ideal for poolside use or hydrotherapy sessions, providing stability and support even in wet environments.
If you’d like to explore how the Turtle Brace could complement your treatment plan, get in touch today to discuss your options.
